Black Kitchen!

I went by the house today to take some measurements and all I can say is thank god all the colors are looking right, finally. This is the only peak you're getting for the moment, but that's my new black kitchen and it is totally badass.

For those that track these things, the color is racoon fur (I swear, I couldn't make that up) and it's Ben Moore. It's definitely black but with just the slightest hint of navy in there.

Happy Weekend Everyone, I'll be back next week with some updates.

P.S. I added a new category over there on the right in the talking about section. It's 'new house' and if you click it you can see all the posts about this new house adventure I'm embarking on!

Super sexy - and it doesn't feel dark (in the one picture that is my only experience of it...)

It looks amazing! I can't wait to see more photos of the new place. (I hope the move itself went smoothly.)

You will love unpacking...it is better than...vacation, Christmas, chocolate. Well, maybe not chocolate.

I painted my kitchen almost black (Ralph Lauren Polo Green) and it is the best design decision I've made to date. Love it!

It looks beautiful! Two stories to share - I once painted a bathroom black and loved it, it was uber luxurious. At another time I painted a section of my kitchen black but had a hard time with all little splatters showing off and looking horrible. Hopefully you are neater than I am. I hope you love it, cause it looks great!

awww shit! that black kitchen is truly awesome. I am now following your blog because I am convinced we are kindred [decor] spirits. and because we both have a cat named Hazel.
