I'm on a DIY Kick
I know it's a little early for the holidays but I like planning ahead and am considering makg a bunch of gifts this year. I'd like to make stockings for the little girls. Felt and something like these awesome stockings from etsy seller rikrak.
In other diy news, I've been researching ideas for great handmade presents. There are some great suggestions on get rich slowly and right here.
I was going to post some of the other projects I'm going to work on, but I don't want to give it away for my friends!
Are you already planning for gifts? Has the state of the economy affected your plans?

I always wish that I would start buying Xmas presents in March, so as to not break the bank in November and December...but I can never get into the spirit of things that early in the year. And then by the time autumn rolls around, I am too knee-deep in Halloween and birthdays to think about Christmas. But kudos to you for being on it now.
loving your blog!

I always have intentions of making holiday gifts for my friends and family, but I usually never do. Last year I did actually make two purses for my closest friends, but that was all I ever got around to.
This year however, I'm hoping to get all of my gifts here: http://www.uniquelosangeles.com/
If I can get all of my gift shopping done in one day and NOT in a mall or running around to various stores, I will be very very very happy.
And I'll help the local economy, who doesn't love that? :)
Every year I plan to make my own gifts - but never quite pull it off. I might try and make granola this year, and wrap it up nicely, but the novelty always wears off. Last year a friend gave me homemade lemon curd and I loved that.
i'm with ya, lady! going for mostly homemade and also mostly sustainable stuff this year (cookies, truffles, photo essays, etc.).
Also, LOVE the new header pic. So comfy looking!
