Mom's House: Middle of Summer Update

My mom's house is absolutely exploding with life proving, once again, that drought tolerant doesn't have to mean minimal or modern (although those are very nice too). She specializes in indigenous california plantings that need little water and can take the hot sun. What I love is the the garden is still so lush and has height--so often with xeriscaping the gardens are like low sculptures but don't create spaces within the garden.
