I've started writing a weekly piece over at cityzine on what's ripe at the farmer's market and normally I include a super simple recipe that just involves cutting things and not actually cooking them. Be warned, I use a slightly different voice in these posts. I guess you could say it's my other side. the side that's a little crass, a little bit more silly, and maybe even...offensive?

What a great post!
The only thing I'd add to your lovely open face sandwhich is fresh homemade pesto.
mmm, BF and i (try to) grow heirlooms in the summer and they're amazing...I can't wait for June!
Congrats on your new food blog outlet. When it's time to plant home-grown tomatoes there a wonderful event called "Tomatomania" where you can choose from about 50 varieties of heirloom matoes. UMI
You say tomato, I say tomato.
Hmm, I don't think that joke plays as well in print.
