Take a look at China

I've uploaded some of my favorite vignettes (color inspiration, texture, arrangement, lighting) from China. I literally took thousands of pictures so this is only a small selection that I thought would be manageable and fun to look at if you're curious to see more of my trip. See them on my Flickr Page.

Food in China

So I'm sorting through all these pictures and trying to figure out an intelligent (and edited) way of showing you what I saw. So for now, enjoy food pictures. Now this does not include the stuff that the Chinese might consider food (that I also took lots of pictures of), these are only pictures of things I ate. Enjoy!

Cloisonne

While in China, because we were with a guide (we weren't part of a tour, the four of us just had a guide in each city) we ended up being roped into going to all these 'factories' to see how things are made and then, ostensibly, were expected to buy things. One place was a Cloisonne Factory. And yes, I bought a bracelet.

I loved all the pots of powder (of course I found out later the paint powder is totally toxic and people that paint cloisonne die of cancer really young). Anyway. Overall the light in China was awesome and overcast, it made all the colors pop.

This was the cash register at the cloisonne place:

The China Shot

Here's the most iconic picture from the trip. It was obligatory, it was exciting. More to come. I'm culling down 2,000 photos, it's been a little slow!

Back from China!

I'm back from China! So much to tell you about, but first I must get my head screwed on right. I'll check in tomorrow, until then, here is the link to Design for Mankind's Dailies with me! And if you're in LA, don't forget about Design Sponge's meet up in Beverly Hills tonight at 7. If I'm not already asleep I'll be there.
