Smog Shoppe is an event space in Culver City that is so inspiring to me: sort of a mix of Paris meets Anthropologie meets a thrift store meets Flora Grubb. I need to visit in person, and soon. It's time to spend time outside, to grow plants and to embrace summertime. I'm thinking of hosting my annual crepe party (which has been on hold the last couple of years) and finally planning some of those picnics in the park.
Photos are by picotte.

i've read about smog shoppe and it's right in my neighborhood, but i haven't found an excuse to see it firsthand yet! did you see that joy of joy the baker wants to host an LA picnic/blogger meetup? sounds like a lovely summery plan!
ohhhh amazing. love that plant wall.
I miss culver city.
morgan--loved your post about being burnt out. I'm not even renovating, but just the process of moving in with the bf in a new part of town (that isn't MY part of town) and trying to make this place home in the face of small children and busy lives makes me melt down at least once a week. How'd you do it moving away from CC? I totally miss venice so much!
oh and lillie--thanks for the head's up, gonna check it out, like, now!
