Monday Morning This N That

Hi.

I want to go to the beach today but have too much work to do! In the meantime, I still haven't washed the car. But I do have a bunch of recipes I want to try (like chai ice cream and gazpacho). I got inspired and went for a run last night and it felt great. Oh also, I have a cousin who plays the blues and wants to visit and play around LA. Where should he play?

What did you guys do this weekend?

I don't think my thoughts are original, but are you asking of which public places? The promenade, the pier, the Metro Red line subway station downtown, Union Station (it's beautiful there), Pasadena Old Town, then I wonder if one needs a permit to do that in LA...

This weekend, I made Meyer lemon sorbet from my friend's tree (will make lychee sorbet next weekend, with raspberry sauce - inspired by Ispahan flavor at Laduree without the rose), went to my music lesson and had my brakes fixed while my pup and I hung out at the coffeeshop for 3 hours.

Hey! I've been checking out your blog for a couple weeks now and really enjoy it. I'm an interior redesigner and home stager in Northern Virginia and just put your blog on my favorites. Thanks for the inspiration and good luck to your cousin!

Arcadia Blues Club. I went there to scout an up-and-coming blues musician a few weeks ago--who knew this was hiding in Arcadia?!
