Josef Frank

I discovered Josef Frank while searching for a designer to do my final project on. I absolutely adore his philosophy about houses and design. He also has had such an influence on modern swedish design; you can see where Ikea gets a lot of their inspiration. Some of my favorite quotes from him:

"A home does need to be planned down to the smallest detail or contrived; it should be an amalgamation of the things that its owner loves and feels at home with."

"There's nothing wrong with mixing old and new, with combining different furniture styles, colours, patterns. Anything that is in your taste will fuse to form an entire relaxing environment."
