Batter Blaster: Really?

To say that I'm intrigued by this "Batter Blaster" would be an understatement. I mean, c'mon, batter blaster? Organic? In a can? Like whipped cream? It just doesn't make sense. But maybe it's amazing and will change the way I think about pancakes and waffles. It would certainly make them easier to make (and less clean up!).

Also the site has some nice simple recipes for pancakes and waffles with banana and nutella!

Sweet merciful crap.

This has got to be a put-on.

Please tell me this is a put-on...

Also, this is the first thing that came to my mind. Only the can looked a little different.

Oh my god, will the coincidences ever end? Last week I got an IM from my boyfriend when I was at work:

"There are three cans of Batter Blaster on the stove. I may have had something to do with it."

First, we couldn't get over the fact that it was organic and made by a San Francisco company. What were they thinking? Were these like ex-hippies who just needed a gimmicky way to make their organic pancake batter appeal to Costco shoppers? The whole thing is just weird.

Second, we made pancakes. And let me tell you, these are some of the best pancakes I have ever been served (I let my boyfriend make them since it looks like fun to squish them into the pan). The texture is amazing, and although his sister complained that they were too salty, I thought they tasted great.

So yes, while we all had a laugh at Batter Blaster's expense, these were some really good pancakes. I almost went out and bought a waffle iron just for this.
