I'm going to try to get a tree this weekend so I can start decorating!
I also have a lot of cleaning out to do to make the place feel 'company ready', starting with the garden. (If anyone asks, I really want a regular pair of gardening gloves for christmas). I'll post some pictures soon of how it's growing in!

We just haven't put ours up yet since we just moved and the living room is the only room that hasn't been put together -- I can't wait to get our tree up though!
ReplyDeleteI ususally get a tree, but I don't think I'm going to this year. I still have a big hole in my ceiling due to unresolved plumbing leak, and so all my furniture is pushed to one side (where I would put the tree). I'm also going out of town for Christmas. I hope to get the plumbing and ceiling issue resolved, but between the two, I think it is no tree for me. I did order a real Christmas wreath so I will have at least something, but it hasn't shown up yet.

We got our tree yesterday -- the first time we've done a real, live tree in our own house. So it's beginning to smell a lot like Christmas around here! It's taller than past (fake) trees, so we'll need to pick up a lot of extra lights and ornaments now.
ReplyDeleteI like that cutsie little fake tree with all the handmade ornaments.
ReplyDeleteI finally decorated my tiny 1 foot white tree last night.
ReplyDeleteIt was supposed to be a quick little task, but I forgot to buy tiny ornament hooks to hang the ornaments so I spent an hour making little hooks out of picture wire. Thank goodness for jewelry tools!
I also hung some Christmas lights in my main room/kitchen doorway.
I got a tree but so far it only has lights on it! I also can't sem to get it to stand up straight!
